DOES SAFETEAM CALL THE POLICE WHEN I SEND A SIGNAL?
No, SafeTeam is intended for social interactions only. If you or someone you know are in serious danger, you should call your local authorities or 911.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF SOMEONE IS COMING TO HELP ME?
Once a certified SafeTeam Member accepts your signal, you will be notified via the SafeTeam mobile app. As the SafeTeam Member approaches you, the haptic disc in your Safelet device will pulse at a faster rate.
WHAT IF A TEAM MEMBER IS NOT WITHIN 25 METERS OF ME?
If you send a signal and there are no certified SafeTeam Members near you, your mobile app will send you a message that includes options to call 911, find a police station near you, or try again.
HOW MANY TIMES DO I PRESS THE BUTTON ON MY SAFETEAM DEVICE?
The number of times you tap your device button correlates with how unsafe you feel. Any certified SafeTeam Member within 25 meters of you will receive a corresponding colored leaf the following messages depending on how many times you press the button:

1 Tap- "I feel unsafe." (Blue Leaf)
2 Taps- "I feel very unsafe." (Yellow Leaf)
3 Taps- "I feel extremely unsafe." (Red Leaf)
WHAT IF I ACCIDENTALLY PRESS MY SAFELET DEVICE?
If you need to cancel a distress signal, simply press down on your device for 3 seconds. You will then feel a quick succession of three pulses to notify that you cancelled your signal. You can also cancel your signal through the mobile app.
WHY CAN I NOT LOG INTO THE SAFETEAM APP?
Because safety is our top priority, only those who have registered and verified as Safe certified can access the mobile app. You will receive an email verifying your certification that includes your password to access the mobile app.
CAN I CHANGE MY SAFETEAM PASSWORD?
Yes, once you log into the SafeTeam app for the first time, you are able to change your password.
